This vintage ORCO Pin-iT Skirt Marker is the ideal dressmaker tool to custom tailor a skirt hem that hangs an even distance from the floor regardless of variations in the body shape of the intended wearer of the skirt under construction.
Measurements: 15-3/4\" tall and the base is 6-3/8\" wide x 4-1/8\" deep
The hem height is easily adjusted by loosening thePin-iTSkirt Marker clamp wing-nut, moving the clamp up or down on the ruler and then tightening the wing-nut. The tool stands on the floor in its own base.
To use it, adjust the clamp to put the pin groove at the desired hem distance from the floor. Have the person for whom the dress or skirt is being made try it on, stand next to thePin-iTSkirt Marker and slowly turn while the dressmaker clamps the fabric and inserts straight pins through the clamp\'s pin groove.
This vintage tool is in good condition with all parts present. One edge of the clamp has some light rust that probably can be removed with a little effort. The photos are part of my description. Please zoom in on all of them and decide for yourself if the condition is acceptable for your needs.
The bottom stand is detached for shipping. The screw, the washer and the nut are fastened in the front section of the base. To reassemble, simply put the two pieces of the base back on the ruler, align the holes, insert the screw through the back and the washer and nut on the front and tighten.
