Vintage Mele Jewelry Travel Case Brown Tortoise Shell Pattern Gold Velvet Inside.
This is such a beautiful jewelry travel case. The outside is padded in a tortoise shell pattern, it has gold tone trim, and the inside is covered in gold velvet. It holds 18 pairs of earrings with room for smaller jewelry as well.
The outside is in good condition, there a few spots where the gold has rubbed off the rim. The inside is in fair condition with some age to the velvet and a piece of the metal has poked through the lining (please see all photos). The lid does not snap closed so if you tip it upside down the lid will open. If the piece is upright, it will not stay open, it wants to tip the piece over.
It measures 8.75 inches long, 5 inches wide and stands 1.5 inches tall.
Even in its vintage condition it is still an amazing piece and will look awesome on display.
