"Winter Twilight" is a Maxfield Parrish illustration featured on a Brown & Bigelow Christmas card sample. Maxfield Parrish (1870-1966) was an American painter and illustrator active in the first half of the 20th century. He is known for his distinctive saturated hues and whimsical mythological scenes.
The embossed card measures approximately 6.25" x 8" in overall size and 2.75" x 4.5" in image size. Inside the card are examples of a "business sentiment" and a "personal sentiment". Chuck Olson Collection Chuck Olson spent over 40 years collecting and traveling the United States in search of unique vintage prints. He was especially interested in prints that were printed for use on calendars in the "Age of the Calendar" from 1900-1960.
