Beautiful pair vintage Mandarin ducks. Handmade and painted pottery mandarin duck pair made in Japan with original import labels and marked with an indented artist's impression signature on the bottom. They are handmade and painted very artistically with a gorgeous array of colors and highlighted with gold and enamel accents. They have substantial elegant and luxurious presence measuring male measuring 8” long, 3.75” wide and 5” high. Female measuring 6.5 inches long x 3.5" wide x 4" tall They have a heavy pottery weight. Rare to find in such unusual yet enchanting coloration. Excellent condition with only one very small lime of paint missing toward the back, bottom of the male's tail feathers. circa1940's- 1980s, no cracks chips or previous repairs. What a magnificent focal point for your home or office.
