Vintage Link-Belt Chain Detacher No. 1 Chain Breaker tool 8.5” long:

Foryour consideration is a Link Belt chain detacher. One side of the chain breakeris marked in large raised lettering, “Easy Chain Detacher No.1\". Theopposite side is marked, “Link-Belt” and has the Linkbelt logo. The chaindetacher is heavy cast steel with various length holding slots. The chainseparator measures approximately 8-1/2” long x 1-1/2” deep x 3-7/8” tall. Thesewere used to separate chains found on hay conveyors, manure spreaders, and manyother farm implement and business conveyor drive systems. This has a lot ofmarks and dents with distortion on the peak areas from hammering. I stillconsider it good condition but look at the pictures and judge foryourself. This tool is sometimesreferred to as a chain breaker. The #1 Link-Belt chain detacher is awell-marked farm tool. The Link-Belt Company was formed in Chicago, Illinois.The collectible heavy farm and industrial tool displays well thanks to theself-standing 1-1/2” wide base.
