This sale is for the very nice Vintage GRISWOLD Cast Iron Skillet GOOD HEALTH #3 653. Very Good Condition. Clean Nice & Smooth as shown in the photos. The skillet measures 6 1/2 inches in diameter 1 3/8 inches tall and weighs 1 pounds 8 ounces. Very good condition, sits flat doesn\'t spin, no chips, cracks or rusting. The skillet is cleaned for collector consideration and is unseasoned for profession chefs who prefer to use their own methods. Please view photos carefully, the pictures were taken outdoors in sunlight and the iron will be a darker gray to black when indoors. We usually have several cast iron cookware items for sale on along with other interesting estate items so please check out our other listings.
Please note we only clean cast iron cook ware that needs it. If the seasoning is good we will offer the item that way. Our cleaning is done by electrolysis, then soft wire brushed and steel wooled. Then it is washed clean and giving a thin coat of digestible mineral oil for preservation. It takes a long time to clean these old items but one can clearly see the defects if any. We never sand blast as this will ruin a polished surface.
