"Export" series by English GBD still remain a mystery as they are missing from their old catalogues. I did ask around and do some research and I'm pretty sure it can be dated back to 1970s as decade of making. You can tell that briar selection is not top grain but still very good. Vulcanite stem on the other hand it hand cut with silver inlaid logo and it's excellent as for quality and finish. Shape in question, 5081, is a simple Bent, made in classic English style of pipes. Small detail that separates it from a clean and straight forward design is the angled rim edge. Metal insert is inside the tenon and you can use 3 or 4mm filters with this pipe. Very lightly used, in almost flawless condition.
Do appreciate the amount of work that went into restoring this pipe as close as possible to its original condition.Meticulously cleaned, with fresh coating applied to the chamber for additional protection.
