For sale is a very nice Elna Supermatic sewing machine, manufacturedin Switzerland. It’s a smooth running machine. All stressed parts are made ofmetal. If you take care of it, it will last for generations while today’scomputerized plastic sewing machines will be in the landfill.

This machine has been serviced and tested. All internalswere degreased, cleaned, and re-oiled. All functions work as intended. (Seephotos taken during the cleaning process. Beware of buying a machine on where the listing just says “it works”, or that it was “just serviced” without anyevidence.) The original bulb wasreplaced with a brighter LED bulb. The knee bar speed control contacts were alsoinspected and cleaned.

Included are 16 stitch cams, a variety of feet, bobbins, accessoriesand the accessory tray. Note that the accessory tray lid was broken and hasbeen glued back together. This is a common issue as the top plastic is quitethin. Cams included are #1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 11, 13, 15, 19, 101, 107, 109, 110,119, 121, 141.

There is also a stitch sample and a video of the machinesewing in the attached photos. The sample shows a straight and a few of the camstitches. A photocopy of the originaluser manual is included with the machine.

The carrying case is in great condition and closes well. Acouple of the rubber bumpers inside the case were brittle so I replaced them. Oneminor issue is that one of the clasps refuses to stay latched. You can stillcarry it with no problem though as the other clasp and the tongue lock are quitesecure. New non-skid feet were also installed under the base of the machine.

This is a vintage machine. While it is in great cosmeticcondition it does show some wear and scratches. Please examine the photos tosee these spots.
