VINTAGE CZECHOSLOVAKIA CUT CRYSTAL
SCIMITAR CORNUCOPIA PERFUME BOTTLE
Available for purchase is a vintage cut glass crystal perfume bottle made in Czechoslovakia. The footed base is shaped like a scimitar or cornucopia. The stopper has a large tiara shape top with a "Daisy & Button" design. The bottle portion is cut glass with horizontal and X cuts on vertical panels. Diamond wheel cutting marks are visible under magnification. The stopper appears to be pressed glass (no wheel cut marks) with the design on one side (opposite side is smooth). The stopper has its dabber/dauber intact. The bottle measures about 6" in length from the tip of the horn to the end of the stopper. The stopper is approximately 2" wide. The underside of the base is marked with a round acid-etched "Made in Czechoslovakia" mark. I believe this bottle is from the 1920s or 1930s (possibly older). It is similar to a pressed glass scimitar-shape perfume bottle made in the 1940s that has a different design. This one is older and the glass fluoresces a faint yellow color under the black light.I purchased this perfume bottleat an estate sale several years ago. It's guaranteed to be an older vintage perfume bottle and NOT a modern reproduction. Please check my positive response and buy with confidence from a trusted seller.Condition of this antique perfume bottle is EXCELLENT with no chips or cracks. There is some minor rim roughness on the inside of the top hole where the stopper fits in. The dabber is completely intact. Overall,this vintage perfume bottle looks fantastic and displays beautifully. It would make a fine addition to any collection. Please take a close look at the many photos I've provided and judge condition for yourself.
