My grandfather was in the Civilian Conservation Corps. This hung in his den for over 50 years. I don’t believe it’s ever been repainted. There’s a couple little marks from where he had it hanging on the wall near the mounting holes. Please see photos. I consider it to be in pristine condition considering its age. I’ve posted a photo of my grandfather and a photo of the division he was in. He’s in the middle with glasses. There is no photo included in the sale, for reference only.
