Vintage Case XX 1940-64 6235 \"Swell-End\" Jack Knife - Chestnut Bone - Used:

CASE XX 1940-1964 stamp.

\"Swell-End Jack\", 3-3/8” closed length.

Pattern # 6235 - hard to find spear master blade version.

This is an early XX era knife with no pattern # stamp and with the Tested era \"block letter\" shield.

Both blades have strong snap with half stops, both tight no wobble.

Nice red bovine bone handles.

Front handle has a tight fine hairline - lower handle pin to bottom bolster.

Handles have no other cracks or damage.

Brass liners and pinned shield.

A used knife - carried and sharpened.

Each blade is near full and each has an even gray patina.

Rub marks and patina on backsprings.

A great knife to clean up!

The handles on this knife were crafted from South American Zebu cattle shin bone. Genus/Species - Bos indicus or Bos taurus indicus.
