Vintage Case XX 1940-64 61024 ½ “Boy’s Knife” Barehead Jack Chestnut Bone - Used:

CASE XX 1940-1964 stamp.

Nice small barehead jack, 3” closed length.

Pattern # 61024 ½.

Blade has strong snap with half stop, tight no wobble.

Dark chestnut brown bovine bone handles.

Handles have no cracks or damage.

Brass liners.

A used knife - carried, appears that it was never sharpened.

The blade is full and has an even dark patina as the photos show.

Staining on backspring.

This pattern is hard to find in the single-blade version.

The handles on this knife were crafted from South American Zebu cattle shin bone. Genus/Species - Bos indicus or Bos taurus indicus.
