Vintage Bavarian/Prussia Cream Plate Pink Roses Gold Rim 8.5\" Signed Bernay:

Specific to this item: This plate is 8.5\" wide. Pretty pink roses are hand painted on a background of white, cream and gray with a bit of an ombre affect. It is a round plate with a gold rim that possible has gold touch up paint on the edge. See photo. A rendition of the artist\'s signature appears on the front of the plate. It is in the photo. Bernay.

The marking on the back of the plate says Prussia and has an eagle with a crown.

The back of the plate has piece or porcelain that is attached to the plate from the firing process. Near the maker mark, you can see the beginnings of crazing - fine lines appearing in the glaze. It does not affect the strength of the plate.

General information about antique plates and bowls: I am listing a large collection ofantique plates and bowls. Many of these items are over 100 years old.For me, much of the charm and love for these pieces is thinking abouthow many times they have been lovingly used and passed down throughthe generations. As I was wiping these dishes down to get them readyfor their new homes, it was heart warming to think that they willcontinue to be cherished.

Owning and appreciating these dishesincludes accepting that they have signs of use. If there are anyobvious signs of chips that I see, I will note them. Also use the photos as aguide to the condition. It is common for them to have signs of age,use and wear.
