Beautiful bronze Sculpture/Bookends featuring a whale encircling an anchor. By William Boogar (1893-1958) of Provincetown, Massachusetts. The top of the base is signed \"Boogar\". The items are great shape with a light overall patination

Selling them just as I found them. I did not try clean or polish them

They are in very good condition, I see no chips or cracks

**This is for 2 bookends**

Here is some information on William Boogar: Studied at PAFA and with Charles Hawthorne in Provincetown. Works at Children\'s Fountain, Wawbeck, WI and most notably the Pilgrim\'s Landing tablets in Provincetown, MA. After WWI, he started a foundry in Haddonfield, NH and became best known for his sculptures of seagulls, often designed as fountains. He also had a foundry in Provincetown at the end of Bangs Street, now is the location of the BEACHCOMBER

They each weigh approximately 2 pounds 12 ounces each

They measure approximately 7\" tall and base measures 2\" x 4\"
