Very nice antique pair of Victorian-style busts. Made by Corday, the Polish immigrant who opened his shop in Trenton, NJ, they are a fine example of his highly sought after work. Surprisingly, the lace work on each appears to be perfectly intact, which is very rare. Only possible defect I could find was the bow on the backside of the gentleman, holding his hair, appears to be broken. I say appears because the surface is not rough and the color of the bow is complete, but possible in years past someone added the color to hide the break. Does not affect at all how this pair displays. Please see pics for further description and condition.
