Because it is an early model, the thumb notch on the blade is different from the usual one and the pattern is finer, moving about 6 mm to the point side. the AL MAR engraved horse, country, and forest marks are also smart and fine. The SECRET SERVICE mark on the handle is also crisp and sharp. This is an extremely rare early model with a slightly different position of the leather sheath engraving.
