This typewriter is an Olympia SM4 Signature \"S\" manual portable typewriter from 1959 based on the serial number on the bottom.
The Serial# off the bottom, as pictured, is #1463802.
The color of this beautiful vintage Olympia SM4 Signature S portable typewriter is a Dark Green color with a crinkle powder coat paint with dark green keys and green platen knobs.
This typewriter comes with a hard 2-Tone Olympia factory case with polished chrome latch closure.
Included is a PDF reprint of the original factory user manual. The original case lock key is not included with this typewriter.
This typewriter is all original and in excellent condition both cosmetically and functionally!
This typewriter has been inspected, cleaned, adjusted, and lubricated for years of trouble free use and enjoyment!
A brand new high quality black and red ribbon on metal ribbon wheels was just installed.
The type is dark, crisp, and beautiful as pictured!
This machine has the rare \"Elite No. 8\" typeface font in 11 pitch or 11 characters per inch as pictured.

This typewriter is an original owner machine and it was not used it in many years.
Every key types as it should and it is a dream to type with. No sticking keys! Just as it was when it was new!
Olympia SM models were the best built manual typewriters ever made. They were manufactured in Germany and wereof the highest quality in every way.
Inside the hard case are two metal latches that secure the typewriter inside the case for safe portable movement and transport.
The back of the typewriter reads \"Made in Western Germany\" on the rear metal plate.
The four rubber feet on the bottom of the machine are in excellent condition without signs of heavy use or wear.
