Vintage 1921-1941 pair of black borzoi figurines with rhinestone(?) eyes:

This pair of figurines is super cool and quite unique. I am not able to find any others out there quite like them. I am not even sure what they are made of. They sound like metal or porcelain, are heavy enough to be metal but also may be made out of a resin material. They are marked simply with JAPAN which dates then back to between 1921 and 1941. Both dogs have rhinestone or crystal style eyes which I believe at one point were red and are now clear. Also based on my research it is very rare to find a pair of them.

They measure approximately 3” tall and about 3” wide.

They do show some signs of age and wear and tear. I believe they had a more shiny finish originally and there are a few marks on them. Also, as I mentioned above I believe the eyes were red at one time. One of the dogs appears to have a small crack under his tail as seen in the last picture.
