This strange little item is ideal for the mystery writer, Halloween lover, Goth enthusiast, stone mason, or historian. Produced by \"the Gravestone Girls,\" we purchased it about 10 years ago, maybe more. According to their website, the bird symbolizes the soul in flight, and this rubbing (which they call \'Lady Bird\') dates to November 1776, taken from the grave of Lydia Arnold who rests in Springfield Cemetery, Marlborough, MA. The material feels like a mix of plaster, stone or sand, and maybe some sort of acrylic. It\'s a weathered gray, very lightweight (2.2 ounces before packing), and has a permanently affixed saw-tooth hanger on the back. Beautifully and respectfully crafted with permission to work from the original stones.
