Body made of stress-relieved ductile cast iron

Blade is 2-1/4" wide, 3/16" thick, made of A2 tool steel and lapped on non-bevel side to flatness tolerance of 0.0002" or better over the working surface; average roughness surface finish of 5 microinches (0.000005") or better

12° bed angle coupled with 25° blade bevel yields 37° cutting angle

Optional 38° and 50° bevel blades and 38° toothed blade

Optional 11" long anodized aluminum bevel-up jointer fence attaches to either side of plane with brass thumbscrews; set screw adjusts fence square to sole; 2" tall face for planing edges perfectly square and can be used to shoot angles less than 90° by attaching wooden guide to inside face of fence

The Veritas low-angle jointer fence enables you to shoot consistent and accurate square or bevelled edges with your Veritas bevel-up jointer. The 11" long anodized aluminum fence can be attached to either side of the plane with the brass thumbscrews provided; a set screw can be adjusted to square the fence to the sole.

As supplied, the 2" tall guiding face can be used to plane edges perfectly square to the face of your workpiece. It can also be used to shoot angles less than 90° when a bevelled wooden guide is attached to the inside face of the fence.
