Vallecito meaning \"Little Valley\" was a station for other stage companies until 1877 when the railroad replaced the stagecoach for long distance travel between California and Arizona. It was a regular mail stop and important resting place for army detachments traveling to California. It is a Historic California Landmark. The card is in good condition, some dings, aging on the back, slight crease upper left corner, with wear on the corners.
