VTG Schaezlein 1973 Washington State Champion Sterling & Gold Trophy Belt Buckle:

This is an old western American vintage belt buckle made by the California based Robert Schaezlein & Son Company in 1973. It is a trophy belt buckle that was awarded to the Washington State Reserve Champion Stallion. The buckle is made of sterling silver and is 1/10 12 karat gold filled. The design of the buckle features a gold filled horse image at the center surrounded by high definition hand engraving….…all with a naturally aged patina that shows the modest & customary light tarnish that would be expected on a 50+ year old sterling silver and gold item. The brand has always been one of our favorites, and will undoubtedly become even more valuable & collectible as the years go by because of their fantastic quality as well as the fact that the volume of their products was not as great as many of the other makers from that period.
This buckle measures 3 1/2” x 2 1/2”, fits belts up to 1 1/2” wide and weighs about 3-4 ounces. Shipping will be USPS ground advantage, insured, and carefully wrapped inside a gift box.
