Showa era ( 1926-1989) , handcrafted Japanese porcelain,’Old Kutani’ ware vase made by Shiho.

The term ‘Old Kutani’ refers to porcelain decorated with heavily applied over glaze enamels and produced in the Kaga mountain village of Kutani.

The powerful Maeda family had established a kiln there in 1656.

Showa era : refers to time line of then Emperor of Japan.

Measurements: 10.5” high, 15” circumference at widest point, 2.16” diameter opening, 3” diameter at base.

Condition : Excellent. No observed chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. Flaw: crazing.
