I purchased this beautiful necklace 15 years ago, in January of 2009 on . This is one of many Native American Jewelry Pieces from the Estate of Lorraine Johnson. From the information I received, Mrs. Johnson, along with her husband Ed, collected and sold Native American Jewelry and other items in the 60’s through 1982. They owned a trading post/store called “Crossroads” and some of my purchased items from many of the Johnsons’ listings have their original “Crossroads” price tags still attached. Lorraine and Ed Johnson bought top quality artisan pieces first hand in the 60’s and 70’s until 1982 in Arizona and New Mexico.

This beautiful Necklace is made from hand carved real natural shells - I think they are Zebra Shells but not sure - matching colored Heishe Beads also from natural shell - all Heishe Beads and Bird Fetishes are snug and balanced, nothing missing
16 birds on each side and then larger sized 33rd bird is the central drop pendant
Condition is Vintage excellent - one bird is missing its tail - please see last photo
Total weight is 45 grams and approximately15 inch drop from neck with a 31 inch total circumference - instead of clasp it is a Squaw Wrap Closure - original Squaw Wrap Cording nice and tight, no frays, loose yarn or repairs
Necklace has original price tag attached and marked on one side \"Cross Road\" and other side says \"Fish Fetish\" and I think $250.00 price - they look like Birds to me, think fish was a mistake?
