This is a rare, size 42 vintage Schott NYC Flight Jacket, manufactured around 1965 to 1975. Schott NYC is an American Clothing manufacturing company from New York City, founded in 1913 by brothers Irving and Jack Schott. This company was the first to put a zipper on a jacket, and their classic “Perfecto” Motorcycle jacket has been featured in popular films such as The Wild One (1953). They made clothing for the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II, and eventually even for American law enforcement.
The jacket featured in this listing is made from a very thick steerhide, while the collar and lining are both faux Sherpa, made of a very soft and high-quality polyester. It has the Model label: I.S.674.M.S. This model label for Schott NYC Flight Jackets was used for 24 years until the final version of the jacket manufactured in 1990. Additional Details: - Size 42
