VINTAGE LAURIDS LONBORG SET OF 2 RETRO MELAMINE CANNISTERS WITH LIDS MADE IN DENMARK CIRCA 1970s WITH FLOWER MOTIF DESIGN.

Two retro vintage melamine canisters, Circa 1970s, with a bright, happy, flower motif, designed by Swedish product designers Al and Lena Eklund for Laurids Lonborg. The design is reminiscent of pop art, with distinctive contrasting colors and a clearly defined composition, that "pops” as it contrasts with the white background of the canisters. These canisters epitomize Scandinavian design of he 1970s. This was a perfect pairing, the Eklunds and the Danish Company Laurids Lonborg who have been described as a “decorative objects powerhouse.” The canisters are in good condition and have never been used. They have ben photographed to show different angles. Please note the last two photographs: the one canister has a defect in the rim. This in no way impacts the appearance of the canister and does not affect the way the lid fits.

The flower is orange, with a pink center surrounded by white dots. The stem and leaves are olive green.
