He wasadmitted tothe barin 1873 and commenced practice inWaynesville, Ohio. He served as prosecuting attorney forWarren County 1880-1883. He resumed the practice of law inLebanon, Ohio. He served as member of the State house ofrepresentatives 1883-1887.Presidential electorin 1888 forHarrison/Morton. Brown was electedas 4, 1897 – March 3, 1901). He was an unsuccessful candidate forrenomination in 1900. He resumed the practice of law in Lebanon and Cincinnati,Ohio. Writer on political and governmental subjects. He died inLebanon, Ohio, February 24, 1923. He was interred in MiamiCemetery,Waynesville, Ohio.
