VINTAGE 1937 PARKER VACUMATIC FOUNTAIN PEN OVERSIZE OS GOLDEN PEARL 14K F NIB:

This listing is for a vintage 1937 Parker Vacumatic Oversize “OS” fountain pen in Golden Pearl laminated celluloid with gold filled trim and a two-tone 14k gold nib.

The OS was the largest Vacumatic model offered. Measuring 5-5/8” or 13.5cm capped.

This pen features a unique stamping on the side of the barrel: WISCONSIN LEGISLATURE 1939. No other names or personalizations are present.

Factory Parker imprint is present on the barrel. Imprint is crisp and easily read.

Golden Pearl laminated celluloid has great color to it and the barrel retains some nice transparency to it, though does have a bit of ambering to it. Note: the barrel threads look to have some crystallization starting and micro fractures. I had planned to swap the barrel, but due to the WISCONSIN LEGISLATURE 1939 stamping I know that I will never find another, so I decided to leave it as is.

Pen has been disassembled and cleaned. Old diaphragm has been removed. Pen has been a collection piece and I had no intentions of ever filling it or using it.

Pen is fitted with a large two-tone 14k gold Parker Vacumatic nib with a fine point. Nib is firm.

Overall, this pen is in excellent condition. No signs of serious wear or abuse. General age looks to be the only factor in regards the crystallization at the barrel threads.
