BELIEVED TO BE A VINTAGE 1924 POSTCARD OF HOLLAND-AMERICA\'S OCEAN LINER / PASSENGER SHIP SS STATENDAM. THIS CARD HAS IT LABELED AS DD STATENDAM WHICH WOULD INDICATE ONE OF TWO THINGS ... THE SHIP BECAME A DESTROYER DURING WWII OR THE DD INDICATES A SHIP IN DRY DOCK. NOT POSITIVE WHICH HERE. IT IS KNOWN THAT THE SHIP WAS BURNT IN 1940 SO AS TO AVOID ITS CAPTURE BY GERMANY.
