I am selling a single, brand new, mint condition, United States Marine Corps (USMC) Presidential Helicopters Program Office (PMA-274) Official Pilot Flight Suit EmbroideredPatch (with hook and loop material on the back!) used by crews for the VH-92A Patriot, VH-3D Sea King, and VH-60N Whitehawk helicopters. The patch has two distinct sides. First, the front side of the patch displays the Presidential Helicopters Program Office (PMA-274) command seal/logo (in full color). On the back side of the patch, you have black hook and loop material for sticking the patch to a flight suit. This patch4.5 inches tall, 4.0 incheswide, and weighs 1.0 ounces. This is the current version being used today by VH-92A developmental and operational test pilots working at the Presidential Helicopters Program Office (PMA-274). This brand new, revised version, of the command patch was produced in the USA and issued in January 2024!
The VH-92A Patriot, VH-3D Sea King, and VH-60N Whitehawk helicopters\' mission is to fly the President and Vice President of the United States of America, other heads of state, and other official parties in support of national missions and interests. The VH-92A has begun to replace the aging VH-3D and VH-60N helicopters presently providing support to the Presidential Lift mission. The Presidential Helicopters Program Office (PMA-274) is charged with developing, fielding, and sustaining the VH-92A to support Marine Helicopter Squadron One\'s (HMX-1) strategic, no fail, mission. The VH-92A declared initial operating capability (IOC) in December 2021 and is being phased in now to fly the President. The Commanding Officer of PMA-274, a Marine Corps Colonel, issues these exact patches to Presidential and test pilots and to individuals who provide outstanding support for the program. This makes these patches both very rare and difficult to obtain.
