Offered here is a beautiful and impressive challenge coin that commemorates the A-7 era for theSidewindersof VA-86. The squadron flew the A-7 Corsair II from 1967 until 1987, and were based at NAS Cecil Field. The coin is 2\" wide, and 3mm thick, cast in gold-tone metal with great colors and texture. One side features the squadron\'s insignia. The other side of this coin is emblazoned with an A-7 in a 45-degree dive, delivering the mail, along with the phrase, \"When you care enough to send the very best\".The coin would make a wonderful gift for anyone who served with VA-86, or would make a great addition to any collection.
