This daguerreotype features an unusually posed handsome young gentleman sitting with the back of the chair facing forward. He wore a top hat and posed in front of a painted backdrop. The image was taken by Weston in New York City.
The 1/6 plate is not sealed and the case measures about 3.25 x 3.75 inches. There is a very minor ping on his neck that can only be seen when held at certain non viewing angles.
