For sale is a beautiful pair of matched, but not identical, pietra dura bookends from most likely, the mid-century period. They are unsigned, and have no indication of origin, but were made with excellent craftsmanship, stone quality and selection. Condition is very good, with no chips, cracks or repairs noted, and only a small amount of scratches and wear, commensurate with their age and usage. They measure approximately 6 x 4 x 2.5 inches each, andabout ½ inch thick, and weigh about 1.5 pounds each.
