Attention all Marines and Marine Corps patch enthusiasts! This is a FINE example of a unit logo patch for Fifth Battalion, Tenth Marines. These can\'t be found just anywhere! Not, of course, allowed on the uniform, but worn on all manner of off-duty civilian caps and clothing as novelty items. 5th Bn, 10th Marines is an artillery battalion with a long, distinguished list of battle honors, beginning with WWII in such places as Guadalcanal and Tarawa! In more recent history, they served in Desert Storm as part of Second Marine Division (Reinforced). Unit is based at Camp Lejeune, NC. Unit motto: PAIN BY STEEL RAIN Recent Decades: According to the unit\'s website, elements of 5/10 participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2003 onward. Later deployments are a bit more difficult to chronicle, with individual batteries being assigned infantry and security roles, as well as being attached to other 10th Regiment battalions. This is a BRAND NEW and UNUSED patch. It is NOT a war relic but a recent manufacture item! Note that this is a small patch, ideally suited for a ball cap.
