Listedhere is an US Air Force 5th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing Large Full Color Insignia Badge Crest Emblem Patch. This patch is old new stock and it was never issued or used and is in outstanding condition for its age. This patch would have been worn on the aircrew uniform combination by 5th Strategic Reconnaissance Wingmembers from 1949 when the unit was activated to 1955 when the unit was redesignated as the 5th Bombardment Wing. The patch measures 4 7/8 inches at its greatest width from the bottom x 4 1/8 inches at its greatest height or 12 centimeters from the bottom at its greatest width x 10.5 centimeters at its greatest height. This patchwould make a great addition to any militaria or aviation enthusiast collections. Please feel free to contact me if you have further questions and/or want more photos of these items.
