The BC-765 Switch Box was installed in the cockpit of many bomber or transport aircraft of WW2 as part of the SCR-595 or -695 Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) radio systems.In the event of potential capture of the aircraft by enemy, the crew was to destroy the IFF system. By pressing the two buttons on this switch simultaneously, charges placed within the radio\'s cabinet would detonate thus destroying the radio. This is a great piece for display or to repurpose into a really cool project like a starter switch or horn button for a Rat Rod. The two switches are momentary switches, So you have to keep them pressed in to complete the circuit. It is New Old Stock in its original carton. Measures 1 15/16\" Tall, 1 7/8\" Deep, & 4 1/2\" Wide at base including mount tabs.
