This is the first edition of the Reform Judaism movement\'s Passover Haggadah. It contains a non-traditional text, with musical notes (including a 2 page pullout as seen in my photo\'s) and illustrations. Most of the text in the Haggada is in English.The Hebrew text takes snippets from the traditional Haggada Hebrew text, and adding many additional Hebrew text not found in other Haggadot, including using the original text as found in the Yemenite traditional text of the Ma Nishtana. The Haggada also removes in the Grace After Meals the prayer for G-d to rebuild Jerusalem!
This Haggada contains 102 pages and has been rebound in beautiful marble covers. Ex libris sticker from the Hebrew Union College (discarded many years ago), ie the library of the movement that published this Hagada!
A bit about this being a FIRST EDITION. While it is true that this is a FIRST EDITION of the Haggada published by the Reform movement in NY-Philadelphia, it wasn\'t the ACTUAL first edition of the Haggada of this movement. You see, in 1905 a prototype \"manuscript Haggada\" was submitted to the Reform Judaism Conference of American rabbi\'s and passed around to be approved. It took them a couple of years till this 1907 version came out. I am selling on my other sale this \"manuscript\" 1905 Haggada as well! Both of these Haggadot are rare and hard to come by in such good condition!
