NOTE - no attempt has been made to polish, clean or otherwise make this knife more attractive for photos. Wiped over with an oily rag!

A good, uncommon Valor Model 373 fighting knife, c. 1970’s – 80’s, made in Japan, designed by Tak Fukuta. Fukuta was “apprenticed” to the legendary Bob Loveless and was the first Japanese member of the American Knifemakers Guild. His factory was based in Seki. Complete with sheath.

Measures approximately 11 15/16 inches long, point to pommel end. Bade measures approximately 6 ¾ inches long, edge only. Obverse tang stamped “Valor Miami USA” with registered trade mark. Reverse tang stamped “Stainless Japan 373”. Stainless brushed cross guard and integral bolster; stainless end cap. Ringed, stacked brown leather grips with red spacers at each end. Leather hanger sheath with leather strap and pop fastener for security. Wide leather belt loop. Knife and sheath in very good, pre-owned condition. Being picky, one small “rub” blemish to each side of the blade. A couple of minor dings to cross guard. Blemish to side of tang. Light scratching to pop fastener exterior.
