Awards or participation medals from German Hiking/Wanderung/Flugplatz Hahn Club to participants of the yearly? hike. I believe these were associated with American Soldiers in Germany as part of a friendship association, which quite possibly is still in effect.
1978 Wanderung - A nice medal, about 3 inches wide, in the shape of the U.S.A. with the Statue of Liberty superimposed, suspended from an alternating red/white/red/white ribbon, which in turn is suspended from bar reading among other things: GROSSROSSELN 1.1986 Wanderung - Also 3 inches, but round, with the Statue of Liberty noted as 100 years old, with a picture of the Manhattan skyline.
