As golden age collectors know, finding copies of anything from Standard Comics, and in particular this series is a challenge - all issues of The Unseen could be called \"tough books\". There are only 19 CGC graded copies. Once found - as is the case here - you\'re often looking at lower grade examples... These top out at mid-grade in CGC census (highest graded is 6.5, with most in the 2\'s and 3\'s). Between scarcity, the jet black cover, age, etc. - simply finding these in complete condition isn\'t easy....
CGC 2.0 with off white to white pages - no gnarly defects or eye detracting flaws. Accumulation of wear, use, etc. Book was not cleaned or pressed and would absolutely improve the presentation, and perhaps grade, if it were. Most good pressers can also fix a spine role as well. All this to say this book as upside potential as it is heavy in wrinkling, the spine roll, dirt, etc. - things that can be improved - and doesn\'t have large missing pieces of cover, etc. you often see in low grade. And, of course as a graded book you know it\'s free from restoration, complete, etc.
Only a handful of recorded sales at any grade, with the most recent being over a year ago.... I will make a note and take pics on the rare occasion I post aslab with a crack or break. Otherwisethe slabs are nice = (minor scuffs, typical with age or shipping, CGC/CBCS “allowable”stuff like newton rings, weld seams, scuffs from shipping etc)…. to flawless. Happy to pull a book and inspect, takeadditional pics, etc-just ask!
