This listing is for Tales from the Crypt #44, published by E.C. Comics in 1954. This is an extremely recognizable pre-Code issue with a guillotine cover by Jack Davis.
This comic was rated 7.0(\"Fine / Very Fine\") by CGCwith\"Cream to Off-White Pages\". Its CGC case is the older style that doesn\'t have an inner well - it shows some Newton Rings (see last picture above).

Newton Rings are also extremely common in newly slabbed CGC books (CGC tried to better protect the books by sandwiching them tighter in the cases, but as a result, a very large portion of newly slabbed books have some degree of rings). For those unfamiliar with Newton Rings: \"This is an occasional effect produced by the inner and outer cases being in direct contact with one another. The visual effect is similar to oil on a water puddle because of the two plastics.
