Softshell is a modern multi-layered fabric, smooth on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It retains heat, wicks away moisture, protects against the wind, and is therefore ideal for sewing clothes for sports and outdoor activities.
Translated from English, Softshell literally means "soft shell". Technologies for the production of this material were developed by specialists of the Buffalo company as an alternative to traditional, rather heavy, fabrics for the production of windproof and waterproof clothing. Softshell contains polyester or polyamide, lycra or polyurethane fibers in its structure.
The membrane softshell has three layers:
