Potyr - is the Greek name for the chalice from which the Orthodox partake of the Body and Blood of Christ. This chalice, due to its small size and tightly fitting screw cap, allows the priest to carry the Holy Gifts and give communion to those people who, for whatever reason, cannot come to the church themselves. For example, seriously ill patients at home or in a hospital. The bowl is made of food-grade stainless steel with a coating on the outer and inner surfaces.
