DESCRIPTION: Beautiful Vintage Pair ofMid-Century-ModernChinese God and Quan Yin Goddess Holding Buddha Picture Statues, 16\" Tall. Antiqued Chalkware Mid Century Modern Chinoiseries Statues with Lots of character and expression.Great composition with lots of detail and textural interest. They are both weighted with sand under the felt foot-base covering.See the Photos.
MARKINGS: Unmarked. There may be markings under the felt under the heavy footed base, but I did not want to remove the felt to check it myself. See the photos.
AGE: Circa mid 1900s

DIMENSIONS: Approx. 16” Tall.
WEIGHT: Approx. 5 Pounds EACH (10 lbs).
Great Vintage Condition~ Considering they are made out of Very Delicate Chalk-Ware, at Approx.70 YEARS Old they are in Remarkable Shape. There are a few places on both Statues that have the typical age-related dings and scuffs on areas that protrude most, like noses, collar and base, but nothing too dramatic that might take away from the Beauty of these Wonderful Handmade Sculptures.Please See ALL Photos for Detail because I consider them to be a BIG Part of the Description!
