The original purpose behindthe Silent Hero knife was to provide a mid-large sized tool to be used by aspecialized interdiction unit that was combating rhino poachers in Africa. Itis an excellent design and has served many people on multiple continents. Overtime, Anton (the designer) realized that he didn’t always need such a largeknife strapped to his hip.

This is where the Silent Hero4 was born. The handle and blade shape of the full-sized knife was perfect fora variety of tasks. By shrinking them down, you end up with a knife that ismuch more easily carried as an EDC, but still long enough to handle the vastmajority of cutting tasks. While the look of this smaller version is basicallythere same, there are a few differences. The blade is a bit thinner (1/8”instead of 3/16”). The finish is a Sniper Gray Cerakote (instead of Black RiverWash). And it comes with a Kydex sheath instead of leather. So, whether you’relooking for a companion blade for your Silent Hero, or just prefer a bladelength around 4\" instead of 6\", the Silent Hero 4 will be anexcellent addition to your collection
