The first English Edition of The Jerusalem Bible copyright 1966. This Jerusalem Study Bible may be of special interest to collectors as it was issued with misprints, consisting of a total of 16 pages left blank during printing. In this Bible there are 7 blank pages in the book of Matthew and 5 blank pages in Mark. Evidently these were not spotted during the printing process. To be clear these pages were not cut out or removed, the pages were just left blank. This is a collectible Bible for the rare printing error that escaped the notice of the publisher.Doubleday & Company Inc Garden City New York.
This English Edition of the Jerusalem Bible is often referred to the Jerusalem Study Bible went out of print and is now more difficult to find. This edition comes with extensive and copious study notes, annotations and references.It is a distinct edition not to be confused with the later abridged version of The Jerusalem Bible, Reader\'s Edition; or the later revised edition issued in 1985 entitled The New Jerusalem Bible.Good used condition. There are a small number of inked notes, and markings in this Bible. There is a nick in the spine of the Bible between the \"E\" and the \"R\" of the word Jerusalem. The spine is straight and the binding is tight. This is the original English edition with study notes. The Old Testament exceeds 1500 pages. The New Testament is 498 pages.
