This is a very nice heavily illustrated example of THE HARLEY DAVIDSON STORY published by Harley-Davidson Inc. in 1989 with a foreword by Willie G. Davidson.

The book is a company overview with background information and great pictures of the first motorcycles in the early 1900s, the first office and factory, the steady growth of the company, race victories and medals, new uses such as delivery motorcycle trucks and Harley’s with wicker sidecars, Harley-Davidson generators and more powerful engines, America’s motorcycle used by the US Army during World War II, the introduction of the hydraulic front forks in 1949, the revolutionary Sportster and Hydra-Glide / Duo-Glide models, California Highway Patrol models, etc., etc.

In the back of this this 8-½ x 11 inch, 76-page softcover book is a two-page spread showing the Harley-Davidson model evolution from 1903 to 1989.

Our photos show the actual 35 year old example of THE HARLEY DAVIDSON STORY offered for sale. It is in very nice, little-used condition with the embossed Harley-Davidson Motor Company logo on the front cover. Great photo content, including Elvis Presley on the cover of the May 1956 edition of The Enthusiast!
