Sweet Enrolled Waldron Maurotarion Trilobite from Indiana. Fossil Crinoid:

Offered here is a beautifully prepared, enrolled Maurotarion christyi trilobite from the Waldron Shale Formation from Blue Springs Quarry (filled with water) in Waldron, Indiana; Silurian in age. The trilobite measures almost 1/2” wide from genal spine to genal spine and sits on a matrix piece that measures 2 5/8” x 2 3/8”. As you can see from the pictures, the trilobite is complete and has been fossilized upside down. Both genal spines are present and beautifully displayed. The last .5mm of the right tip of the spine is missing from the split. This beautiful piece was found about 20 years ago during the time we had a lease on part of the old Blue Springs Quarry outside Waldron, Indiana. Our quarry dig is full of water and no collecting allowed by the new land owner. Starting to downsize the collection.
