FINE WORCESTER PART TEA SET
The majoity of the pieces are marked for Worcester 1924 . Some of the pieces have both an impressed mark and a Worcester mark. Some simply an impressed mark and a few with no mark at all - please judge.
The set appears to comprise earlier pieces which are slightly darker and slightly different in design ( coffee ) and the later tea items which are lighter and differ slightly in the design.
The darker may have been a trial set ? Please judge.
The majoity are marked in gilt with what we believe to be an owner's name and address : Mabel Gordon 1928 , 29 , 31 plus later labels. Finest gilded decoration and gilt detail . So Art Deco and a very rare design... Please judge....
This is a special set with wonderful colours and hand painted detailing .
The set consists of 5 tea cup trios , 3 coffee cup trios , 2 sugar bowls and milk jug plus extra side plates and saucers
Would be a shame to splt the set - so will initially try to sell complete.
Coffee set - Cups are 55mm tall ,the suacers 110mm diameter and the plates 130mm.
Tea Set - Cups are 85mm diameter , saucers 142mm and the plates 180mm .
The milk jug is 125mm tall
All as shown - daylight photos - Couple small nicks , some age wear .
