1874 Wambach-Printed Strawberry Tobacco Label. - - - DESCRIPTION & CONDITION: One of the most famous and strange 19th century labels, printed by Fred. Wambach for “The Strawberry”, made from Connecticut seed tobacco. Even if the two mice pulling a miniature circus wagon driven by a cigar-chomping top-hatted gnome don’t strike you as juuuust a little odd, the giant strawberry and pony-tailed monkey hanging on for dear life might.
Label. About 4.5”x4”. Minor soil, light wear. SHIPPING NOTES: We combine shipping charges on orders for more than one item- you pay the shipping fee for your first item, and any other items that you order at the same time are shipped with it for no additional charge [If you buy more than one item please ask us to send a revised invoice before you pay]. All ephemera & photos are shipped USPS ‘Ground Advantage’ (which used to be First Class Package) in a board-reinforced card mailer with a large red DO NOT BEND sticker.
